This dissertation deals with the synthesis of D-gluco-, D-galacto- and D-manno-configurated 2,3-Diacetamido-2,3-dideoxy-hexopyranosides. Oxidation and reduction at position 6-C lead to the corresponding uronats and other related structures of this 2,3-Diacetamido-2,3-dideoxy-hexopyranosides.

Synthesized donors were successfully prepared and connected with an acceptor to Methyl (2,3-diacetamido-2,3-dideoxy-4-O-acyl-α-D-hexopyranosyl)-(1→6)-(1,2:3,4-di-O-isopropylidene-galactopyranosyl) uronates (Yield 44 – 57%).
