In this thesis the results of the investigations on the synthesis and reactivity of salts with new pseudohalide containing anions as well as their characterization are presented. The starting material synthesis of pseudohalides and fluoridosilicates was performed by quantitative decomposition reactions of compounds with reactive methyl carbonate anions and by salt metathesis processes. By reaction of [nBu3MeN]CN with the Lewis acid B(OMe)3, the novel cyanidotrimethoxyborate anion [B(OMe)3(CN)]− could be prepared. For the first time, cyanido(halido)silicate dianions [SiX(CN)5]2− (X = F, Cl) and the fully functionalized hexacyanidosilicate dianion [Si(CN)6]2− could be synthesized by halide/CN− substitution reactions while neutralization reactions and salt metathesis protocols were used for derivatization. It has been shown that the reaction of [Si(CN)6]2− with the Lewis acid B(C6F5)3 leads to the formation of a fully functionalized and bulky borane adduct anion. Furthermore, the reaction of cyanides in pure hydrogen cyanide at low temperatures resulted in the formation and isolation of [Ph4P][CN(HCN)2] and [PPN][CN(HCN)3] salts containing labile and almost linear or Y-shaped solvate anions.
